The Land Rover Defender is so rare in the US that few people have ever seen one in-person, and few people other than Land Rover enthusiasts know what they are. The Defender 90 (2-door, comparable in size to a Jeep Wrangler) was only sold here for a few years in the 1990s. And the Defender 110 (4-door, longer wheelbase) was never legally sold here at all.
So when I spotted a Defender 110 pickup (an even more rare body style for the Defender in the US, even among grey-market imports) randomly sitting in a parking lot in Ocean City, MD, I couldn't resist taking some photos. I didn't have a chance to meet the owner, unfortunately, but simply seeing this was VERY cool.
